We're not...but I truly did mean it as a gesture of respect and honor. I am genuinely sorry to have caused offense to you and to your friend.

[her throat bobs in a swallow] So is the telepath I'm going to have to face. This is the second--second!--time she's made a man her puppet. And no one listens to me when I try to tell them she's dangerous. I feel [she sighs] very alone.

I'm willing to accept whatever help you feel you can give. And I'll not ask for any more than that, I swear by the Mistress. [a short, self-deprecating laugh] And there I go again!

[Ezra goes quiet for a moment, and then he says softly-]

Jedi serve. We have to pick our priorities because we're limited beings, though, and frankly I'm not sure that I'm the best fit for this task.

Aren't telepaths a known thing where you're from?

[unphase]

As do Legionnaires. We, too, are limited. But there is no one back home who is equal to the task, given that the telepath enjoys complete freedom while restricting that of our teammates. [urgently, but hushed] I'm the only one who sees her for what she is.

Yes. But no one is as strong as Imra Ardeen. I've looked. And I've been disappointed and left in despair.
