She nodded, moving to the more pressing topic. Sidious was something for another time. The topic of cutting and blades made her frown and she took one of the copies of the Blade that the two of them had, setting it down. "It's strange that it talks of such things as it relates to this artifact. I've seen butter knives that have more edge to them," she said, running her finger on the flat of the edge. "Perhaps the object has some sort of spiritual significance, though I haven't attempted to use it on a living being yet. Have you?"

Ezra shakes his head, sharply. "No. Not an experiment I wanted to run....lightly."

"We don't exactly have monsters that are easily accessible and even then, there's both considerable peril if it causes no harm and ethical issues. I could test the edge on a digit. Just the barest touch, and we could see if that actually penetrates or causes something." Baby steps. this kind of experimentation required baby steps.

Ezra has ethical concerns about the 'monsters' too, at this point, since apparently beast hood can at least sometimes be recovered from, but decides that he's not going to argue the point.

"Well...if you're sure, I won't try to stop you. Do you want me to do the wielding, or do you want to try it on yourself?"

Honestly, she at least partially shared those concerns. One couldn't be sure if a monster wasn't a transformed friend. So, this might be better. She considered the possibilities for a moment and then offered him her copy of the blade.

"I want you to hold it steady. I believe it needs to be wielded. that much is clear. We can test just a thumb at the edge to see if there's impact there," she said, concentrating a little. "One step at a time, to see what this thing actually does and cuts, or if it's a glorified showpiece."
