[He's still not how much to believe Maul about his being 'forced' into the position of leader. Cults aren't exactly congregating around many Sleepers, even ones with obvious strong abilities - not that Ezra knows of, anyway.

On the other hand, Maul is flashy. Dramatic. Visibly something other than human in a way that may read as closer to Pthumerians to some of the locals.

Probably. You two have moral compasses that are very steady……it’s rather annoying most of the time.

[Maul keeps the line open but he’s not talking directly to Ezra anymore. He calls to the two followers he has that he can see who are standing outside his house over to the nearest window and asks them to go get him some food. His manners aren’t the best when he does so (that’s down on the bottom of the list of many things he knows he needs to work on) but neither does he outright bully or order them to obey his commands. What they’re doing is because they are willing to serve their lord right now.]

You tire me. I prefer following what I want to do. It just so happens what I want to do most of the time are things most good people consider to be selfish at best and intentionally malicious at worst.
